What is Proposition 65?

Proposition 65, officially known as the Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986, requires businesses to provide warnings to Californians about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. This list of chemicals is maintained by the California Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment (OEHHA) and is updated at least annually.

Why Do We Provide Warnings?

We care about transparency and your safety. Some products sold on this website may expose you to one or more chemicals on the Proposition 65 list. While these exposures may be well below the levels considered harmful by international health standards, we provide these warnings in compliance with California law.

Examples of Products That May Require Warnings Include:

  • Items made of leather, vinyl, or plastic (e.g., apparel, restraints, harnesses, toys)

  • Items containing metal components (e.g., clamps, zippers, chains)

  • Items used in or around the mouth

  • Items manufactured with adhesives or synthetic dyes

How Are Products Labeled?

If a product sold on this website is required to carry a Proposition 65 warning, it will be clearly stated in the product description and/or shown during checkout for California customers.
